Role Overview:

 

This position will focus on our Financial Institutions – Insurance department under Corporate and Institutional Coverage. The Insurance team strives to create an open, inclusive working environment for all.

 

Responsibilities

 

Business

  • Report to and support Sector Head in the management and service (administrative & client related activities) of the client portfolio
  • Lead and develop a designated portfolio of customer relationships, meeting income and returns growth objectives – demonstrating capacity to deliver net new revenue to senior banker’s and own portfolios
  • Prepare and supervise business plans to meet client profitability requirements and business objectives
  • Review and lead execution of client proposals/opportunities with appropriate Product Partners, Credit and CAM
  • Originate business opportunities - ability to identify and deliver appropriate solutions for the client
  • Negotiate terms and conditions of credit facilities and services in conjunction with Product Partners
  • Handle the preparation of all transaction related materials including Credit and Investment Committee papers and returns analysis
  • Identify, develop and convert prospects and business leads to maximise business growth for the Group
  • Support the client interface ensuring delivery of commitments and the resolution of issues/enquiries
  • Scope, review, negotiate and implement legal and other documentation ensuring compliance with credit sanction, Bank and Regulatory policy to minimise risk and to facilitate business growth (Term Sheet, ISDA, loans)
  • Develop knowledge of industries, local economic and market conditions and act as a subject matter expertise for department and other partners

 

Administrative

  • Handle and develop associate and analyst teams ensuring delivery of work product (administrative, transactions and transaction related)
  • Lead any changes to Bank policies, systems, processes and working practices to achieve operational improvement and compliance
  • Review management information to provide reports for senior management to supervise profitability and control risk

 

Other

  • Participate in customized opportunities such as junior talent recruitment, Analyst Program Committee, diversity & inclusion network, responsible & ethical business practices, Learning & Development, trusted partnership initiatives, and any other intra-Bank work streams

 

Qualifications

  

Education and Experience Required:

  • Coverage and/or Product experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Finance or Business preferred, or equivalent professional experience
  • 5 - 8 years of prior investment/corporate banking/credit experience. Strong internship experience will be valued
  • Strong understanding of banking products, including credit, risk management, debt and corporate finance advisory, and capital markets
  • Series 63 and 79 required (within 120 days of being in role)

 

Key skills and knowledge required:

  • Strong level of business assessment skills
  • Validated competence in LBG processes and procedures, and administration
  • Good analytical skills in corporate finance related fields, such as capital structure advisory, ratings analysis, and financial risk management
  • Knowledge of fixed income markets
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Developing skill in influencing people and outcomes
  • Confirmed experience adhering to the Group’s Values & Behaviors

 

Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000
