The Bond Syndicate Desk at Lloyds is looking for an individual to join the team and provide significant contributions to the desk. The role will support the senior members of the desk by providing key updates, relevant information and handling daily responsibilities.

Entity Overview: Lloyds Securities Inc. (LSI), a broker-dealer registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and FINRA member firm, is the U.S. securities arm of LBCM plc UK. Lloyds Securities' businesses include Debt Capital Markets, Bond Syndicate, Private Placements and Credit Sales & Trading. LSI is part of Lloyds Banking Group, which offers commercial banking and risk management services to large domestic and multinational businesses with a presence in the United States and the United Kingdom. LSI acts as a U.S. chaperoning broker dealer for its aforementioned foreign affiliate under SEC Rule 15a-6.

Responsibilities

•        Provide support leading up to and during the origination, structuring and execution of fixed income securities underwritten and / or distributed by the capital markets team

•        Daily responsibilities include coordinating the underwriting process, reviewing transaction documentation and handling trade tickets

•        Support senior members with providing regular indicative pricing and market updates to clients and DCM / SPG originators

•        Collaborate with DCM & SPG colleagues to ensure the smooth publication of regular client pricing and structuring initiatives

•        Lead internal and external meetings on market themes, methodologies behind structuring and pricing trends

•        Initiate and complete changes to systems, processes and working practices that achieve operational improvements and aid the development of new product initiatives and structures

•        Provide market information to support senior management reports supervising market conditions and trends

•        Coordinate daily with the U.K and European Bond Syndicate teams and wider Bond Financing teams

•        Ensure transactions are performed in compliance with industry regulations, applicable laws and Lloyds’ policies & procedures

Qualifications

Key Skills and Knowledge

 

•        Minimum of 3 years of capital markets experience, ideally with significant exposure working on an active DCM or Syndicate desk

•        Prior experience with originating, structuring and implementing fixed income securities

•        Strong quantitative background in bond math and fixed income security pricing methodologies

•        Highly proficient in client coverage and responding to client requests in a timely and accurate manner

•        Ability to communicate efficiently at all levels and across different audiences

•        Strong work ethic, detail oriented and good teammate

•        Motivated self-starter comfortable with performing efficiently under a high pressure environment

•        Multi-tasking, and working well in a team environment

Required Education and Licenses

•        Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

•        Sophisticated knowledge of software applications including MS Office, Bloomberg and other relevant technology tools

•        Valid FINRA Series 7, 63, and 79 registrations

Location:

It is the Bank's expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York, NY office in accordance with the Bank's hybrid working model

 

Salary range: $165,000 - $215,000
