Role Overview:

 

The purpose of this role is to become an integral trading/sales assistant on the US Credit Team in LSI, covering US Institutional clients for both US and International investment grade bonds and ABS. Role will report directly to the Head of Financial Markets and have diverse exposure to various institutional clients of Lloyds Bank.

 

Responsibilities

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities of the role include, but are not limited to:

  • Support management of US institutional client relationships across both Investment Grade bonds and ABS for the US Credit Trading desk at Lloyds.
  • Interact daily with US institutional clients to determine trading strategy/needs and how Lloyds can deliver value in their accomplishment of these goals
  • Liaise with New York and London traders to determine axes, understand investment themes and communicate these positions to clients
  • Work across the world with the London trading team to deliver not only the US franchise but also Lloyd’s global franchise to US customers
  • Support the Credit Trading Team with aiding in trade input, generating additional desk level MI and developing trading capabilities. Must become comfortable with Sophisticated Excel data management and experience with Bloomberg BLP spreadsheet analysis is strongly preferred
  • Experience with trade execution and protocols including use of Bloomberg TOMS trade entry system
  • Specifically in ABS, the right candidate will have experience in marketing and understanding US prime credit card and auto shelves as well as UK RMBS structures. Esoteric ABS, franchise etc, would also be a key skill
  • Understanding of customized structured products, first loss etc, and the ability to market these products to US clients.
  • Ideal candidate would have at least 2-4 years of institutional client relationship experience and familiarity with basic concepts in Fixed Income specifically in IG corporates and ABS as well as strong client relationships in these areas
  • The right fit would integrate fully into the team, reporting to the Head of NY Credit Trading and help to deliver Lloyds business model to clients throughout the US.
  • Strong sense of institutional values consistent with Lloyds Bank mission statement and high level of integrity in dealing with clients

Qualifications

 

Education and experience required: 

  • Contacts and relationships within the Institutional Sales industry
  • Minimum of 2 - 5 years validated experience
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required
  • Skills, language and appropriate active investor base (‘real money’ investors) to support geographical areas
  • FINRA Series 7 & 63 Licenses required
  • Experience using Bloomberg and Microsoft Excel is required

Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000
