The opportunity This role ensures the People function operates with confidence, clarity, and resilience. It does so by owning Workday, leading all aspects of People systems, and managing HR risk in a highly regulated environment. The person in this position will strengthen controls, improve data‑driven decision‑making, and streamline HR processes that directly support business growth and regulatory assurance. Through platform optimization and strong partnerships, this role delivers lasting operational efficiency and trust in People data and processes. What you’ll be doing - Own and optimize the Workday platform and connected People systems, driving simplified, scalable HR processes across the employee lifecycle with strong controls and measurable efficiency gains.
- Lead People systems governance, including security and access management, change control, data governance, and audit‑ready documentation, ensuring compliance with regulatory and Group standards.
- Act as the North America lead for People Risk & Operations, strengthening HR risk controls, KRIs, management information, and operational risk system activities, with clear escalation and remediation.
- Serve as the primary liaison for Audit, Compliance, and regulators on People systems, data, and controls, coordinating walkthroughs, evidence production, and issue resolution.
- Deliver high‑quality risk and operational reporting through Workday and integrated data sources, providing clear, trusted insights for senior leaders.
- Drive a prioritized People technology improvement roadmap, including platform enhancements, integrations, and automation, ensuring solutions are embedded into balanced BAU operations.
What you’ll bring - Proven experience in financial services or a regulated environment, with deep expertise delivering compliant, well‑governed HR or People systems solutions.
- 7+ years of hands‑on Workday experience, with a strong understanding of HR data, reporting, and end‑to‑end process design.
- Proven track record to translate sophisticated HR and financial data into clear, multi‑dimensional analyses, reports, and executive‑ready insights.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience communicating findings, summarizing key issues, and influencing outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities, meeting deadlines while maintaining accuracy, discretion, and confidentiality.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; project management experience preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
